Welcome! My name is Alana and I am the owner of Purdy Photos Official. I started taking clients in 2019 but have had a camera in my hand since I was young. My best friends and I would make YouTube videos with horses using point-and-shoot cameras, and then in High School I joined the video production classes to learn more in-depth video production skills as well as broadcasting.
Although my main interest began with video, I switched over to photography in college and have loved it! I love capturing moments for people, and I love taking nature photos as well (especially birds!). Besides photography, I enjoy trying out new vegan restaurants and/or cooking new recipes, gardening, kickboxing, taking care of my animals, as well as caring for (and buying new) house plants!
I am also currently in school to become a court reporter/stenographer and my hope is to enjoy a good balance of photography and court reporting in the near future!

My approach
My approach to photography is all about keeping things relaxed, fun, and true to you! I love when sessions feel more like hanging out than posing for the camera—there’s usually some laughter, a little silliness, and moments that just naturally unfold. No two sessions are ever the same, and I’m always open to your ideas and suggestions so we can create something that feels personal and meaningful. I like to give you a good mix of genuine candids and naturally guided poses, and I mostly stay true-to-color to keep your images timeless, not trendy. I hand edit each photo myself and deliver your gallery as quickly as possible, with turnaround time depending on the size of your package.
